Bangalore Race Odds, December 19, 2020

In this article, we look at the eighth meeting of the current season at the Bangalore Turf Club on 19 December 2020. The meet will have eight races, including a featured event in The Bangalore 2000 Guineas (Gr.2). As many as 104 horses will feature on the day, trained and ridden by the best professionals.

1. Davengere Plate

The race meeting will begin with the Davengere Plate, a handicap for horses rated 00 to 20, 5 years old and upward. There are 14 horses entered. The highest rated horses are Lady Nectar trained by Sriram Komandur and ridden by Md Aliyar, and Nerva, trained by Meil Darashah and ridden by M Prabhakaran.

2. The Atmanirbhar Bharat Plate

There are 10 entries for this one which is for 3-year olds only, with Perfect Perfecto, trained by RV Manohar and ridden by Anjar Alam, the highest rated. There are a few horses that share second highest rating: Encounter, trained by V Lokanath and ridden by Arshad Alam; Ocean Dunes, trained by A Mangalorkar and ridden by S John; Priceless Gold, trained by R Narredu and ridden by S Narredu; and Glenary, trained by S Narredu and ridden by Y Narredu.

3. The Jog Falls Plate Div-2

This race, meant for horses four years and over and rated 15 to 35, has 14 entries. Dragon Mountain, trained by S Narredu and ridden by Arul JH, is highest rated, followed by Augustina, trained by Irfan Ghatala and ridden by C Umesh. The third highest rating has been accorded to Revan Star, trained by K Pradeep Annaiah and ridden by A R Pradeep.

4. The Bold Majesty Plate

This one, with 14 entries, is for Class 3 horses rated from 30 to 50. Lagopus, trained by KP Annaiah and ridden by Imran Khan, is the highest rated. Whizzo, trained by Azhar Ali and ridden by Ashhad Asbar is rated next. Treasure Striker, trained by Mahmood Khan, and ridden by R Rayan Ahmed, is the third highest rated entry.

5. The Hampi Plate Div-2

This one has 13 entries and is for Class 3 horses, rated 30 to 50, four years and older. Queen Regnant, trained by A Ganapathy and ridden by A Sandesh, is the highest rated entry, followed by Schaffenberg, trained by SS Attaollahi and ridden by Indrajeet Singh. The third highest rating has been accorded to Port of Beauty, trained by Prasanna Kumar and ridden by P Trevor.

6. The Bangalore 2000 Guineas (Gr.2)

This one, which has 11 entries, is for 3-year olds only and is the featured event of the meet. The three highest rated entries are Golden Oaks, trained by S Padmanabhan and ridden by P Trevor; Nisus, trained by Prasanna Kumar and ridden by Akshay Kumar; and Bellator, trained by Attaollahi and ridden by S Zervan.

7. The Hampi Plate Div-1

This one, which has 14 entries, is for Class 3 horses 4-years and older, rated 30 to 50. The three highest rated entries are Alexandre Dumas, trained by V Narayana Gowda and ridden by P Trevor; Donna Bella, trained by Irfan Ghatala and ridden by V Naveen Kumar; and Musterion, trained by Aravind Ganapathy and ridden by R N Darshan.

8. The Jog Falls Plate Div-1

This one is for Class 4 horses rated from 15 to 35, 4 years and older. The last event of the meet has 14 entries, with the three highest ratings accorded, in order, to Caesar’s Palace, trained by S Narredu and ridden by S Mubarak; Mr Humble, trained by B Prithviraj and ridden by P Kiran Rai; and Green Channel, trained by S Inayathulla and ridden by Arul J H.
