Lucky 63 Bet Explained

What Is a Lucky 63 Bet?

Lucky 63 is an interesting name to be given to a bet for inherently all betting types involve some amount of luck in addition to knowledge and skills related to betting. However, if one manages to win the Lucky 63 bet, it means that not only the player is skilful but also the lucky one as well.

This bet is a combination of 6 selections consisting of 63 bets in total, because of which this betting type got its name. The selections are broken down as 6 singles, 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 fourfolds, 6 fivefold and 1 sixfold. In order to make a profit, you have to predict more than a couple of selections correctly. Anything more than 3 winning selections, and you are looking at generating hefty sums at a very low initial stake of £63. The Lucky 63 betting type can generate a substantial amount of profit even against low stakes since there are so many sub-bets.

If this sounds complex, do not worry. This bet isn’t complicated at all. Let’s learn more about the Lucky 63 betting type in detail in the following article.

How Does a Lucky 63 Bet Work?

As mentioned above, the Lucky 63 bet consists of a set of 6 selections which includes a total of 63 sub-bets. Thus, in all, we have to place 63 different bets. The bets have to be placed on different events. You can not bet on two different players winning the same game.

So, the minimum bet in this system is £63 i.e. minimum £1 fo each of the 63 bets. The corresponding bets would be as follows:

  • £6 for 6 single bets;
  • £15 for 15 double bets;
  • £20 for 20 trebles;
  • £15 for 15 fourfolds;
  • £6 for 6 fivefolds;
  • £1 for one sixfold

Let us first understand what each type of bet means.

Singles

As the name suggests, it allows us to bet on the outcome of a single event. So, make a selection, choose the amount and place the bet. It’s that simple. If your selection succeeds, you win the bet.

Double Bets

In double bets, you can bet on the outcome of two events that are mutually exclusive. All the money will be lost if any one of the selections doesn’t win. In other words, both selections must be correct for you to win the double bet.

Treble Bets

This is just an extended version of double bets, where all the three selections must be correct to win the treble bet. The rewards a comparatively higher along with a slightly higher risk.

Fourfold, Fivefold and Sixfold Accumulators

Four-, five- and sixfold accumulators are increasingly higher in risk and thus in rewards. A very small stake in this kind of accumulator bets can yield hefty profits when all the predictions are correct.

Which Sports You Will Be Able to Place A Lucky 63 Bet on?

There are many sports to which you can apply the Lucky 63 betting type. Two main ones are horse racing and football. Let’s look at them in brief.

Horse Racing

Horse racing is one of the major sports to bet on when it comes to using the Lucky 63 bet. The bet is placed in a group of 6 selections – six horses in this case as shown below.

Lucky 63 Bet Explained

For the above example, the winning amount could be as high as 14,000 for the initial stake of £63 in case all the six selections succeed. For 5 winning selections the amount granted is more than £3000. For four winning selections, it is close to £1000 and for 3 winners, the profit is about £200.

Football

Another major sport where Lucky 63 bet is used is football. The Lucky 63 bet selections in football look something like shown in the below image:

Lucky 63 Bet Explained

Look at the hefty returns (14000+ for an initial stake of 63) one may get if all six selections win.

Example of a Lucky 63 bet:

Let’s consider an example of betting on a horse racing event. Let’s assume we have placed a £1 Lucky 63 bet on horse racing events. That means, we have invested £63 as the initial stake for the Lucky 63 bet.

The number of winning selections and the price of each selection determine the final amount to be won from a Lucky 63 bet. Let’s assume that in our example each horse is priced at £4.

Let’s see how the winning amount changes with respect to each extra selection’s win.

If 0 selection wins, the initial stake of £63 is lost.

If 1 selection wins, the winning amount is £4. It’s a loss of £59.

If 2 selections win, the winning amount is £24. It’s still a loss of £39.

If 3 selections win, the winning amount is £124. A profit of £61.

If 4 selections win, the winning amount is £624. A profit of £561.

If 5 selections win, the winning amount is £3,124. A profit of £3,061.

If 6 selections win, the winning amount is £15,624. A profit of £15,561.

That is an about 247 times bigger return. In general, unless the price of the winning selection is very high, there usually needs to be at least two or three winning selections. As you can see above, you will be generally in profit once 2 or 3 selections come out successful. From 4 selections onwards the profit increases exponentially.

Pros and Cons of a Lucky 63 Bet:

Pros

  1. The Lucky 63 bet has all the advantages of a multi-selection betting type. There is a high chance of winning a few selections and thus getting a good profit.
  2. As seen above, the profit can grow up to 200 or 300 times the initial stake if the correct combination of bets is placed.
  3. There’s always a chance to win the later selections if the initial selections do not succeed. This gives us a chance to make up for initial losses in the later stages of the bet.
  4. The good thing about this betting type is that you can aim for a big win, but can also hope to get at least some profit if not the bumper prize that comes with winning a higher number of selections.

Cons

  1. It is essential to not be greedy and to remain patient if some of the initial selections fail. A patient and calculated approach is needed. The Lucky 63 bet may turn out not that lucky for those with weak nerves.
  2. Some might consider the initial stake to be quite high, especially since there’s a probability of losing the whole of or part of the initial stake. The minimum value you can invest as the initial stake is £63 – £1 for each of the 63 bets.
  3. As the risk gets higher with four-, five- and sixfold bets, it becomes increasingly difficult to win those on a regular basis. No matter the amount of analysis you do, there will always be some amount of luck involved. Thus, the name – Lucky 63.

Conclusion

As with all the betting types, the Lucky 63 bet brings you a chance to make some profits – quite heftier than the others if you play well and are lucky as well. The key is to know your limitations, your purse and to bet only on the games you understand. If done well, Lucky 63 bets can really make you rich in no time.
