Match Predictions and Betting Odds
It is the 56th and final league encounter of this 2021 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) take on Delhi Capitals at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This game could well turn out to be a shootout for a spot in the top two. Both teams have been in excellent form and have qualified for the playoffs.
RCB have been very consistent this season and they have managed to shrug off a poor start to this UAE leg. The Virat Kohli-led side have managed to accumulate eight wins so far and have lost just four, reaching the playoffs for the second successive time. Their batting lineup has fired and the top five look solid. Meanwhile, it is the bowling attack that has stepped up and delivered. The likes of Harshal Patel and Mohammed Siraj have been consistent while Yuzvendra Chahal has come into his own in this second half.
On the other hand, DC have continued their consistent run and they have reached the playoffs for the third season in a row. They have nine wins from 12 games and have a huge opportunity to finish in the top two. The Rishabh Pant-led side will be assured of a place in the top two if they can win both their remaining games. DC’s batting has been pretty good and the inclusion of Shreyas Iyer has added some solidity to the middle order. But it is DC’s bowling that has been the driving force. The pace trio of Avesh Khan, Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje have been superb while the spin twins Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin have performed consistently as well.
The head-to-head record is in favour of RCB who lead 15-10. However, DC won two games in 2020 and two in 2021 as well. However, RCB pulled one back earlier this season.
